5 Drugstore Products That Work

The five Drugstore products above could be found at Ralphs, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Kmart, etc. Out of five of these, I swear by two and another is soon joining that ship.
  • First I want to talk about the L’OREAL Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation, o.51 oz. I wanted to give this foundation a try for a while and I was just very hesitant because I do not get a positive reaction after 3-4 uses of a Drugstore foundation and also I never like the color shades they offer. To me, they tend to look dirty on the skin. I was at CVS about a month ago completely shopping for anything BUT makeup, then I found myself wondering around the cosmetics isle of course. I went by the foundations and saw the Lumi Cushion but again I wasn’t too sure that I would go through with it. First, I have dry skin and did not know whether that would be a great fit for my skin type, second, Drugstore color match is like impossible. So I literally went on YouTube on my phone and started searching reviews of the foundation. I can’t even remember who the review was by that I saw but she really made me believe this was for me. I bought it….mind I say that this foundation has different prices at different Drugstores, not sure why. I got mine for about 17$ but when you search it, it will give you a variety of prices, so keep in mind where you buy it from. Long story short, I ended up really, really liking this foundation. It fits well with my skin, the color I bought is W3, it looks very smooth and nice but a tiny, tiny bit darker than my skin, although it works. I have not seen any break outs so I like the product for that reason. It is very much equitable but leaves your skin feeling hydrated and flawless, it is a satin finish. I don’t recommend for this to be used with its sponge because it leaves the face way too shiny and it is not able to give it that flawless finish, try using your near by beauty blender, it works miracles. One negative thing I have to say about this product is that, I can already see that it is finishing. I overall used it about maybe 5-6 times the most and I can tell that it is losing its moistness and remaining product. I give this product a 4.5 stars.
  • My second favorite Drugstore product is the L’OREAL Paris Waterproof Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara in color 395. When I say I swear by this, I truly mean it. I have  short lashes and they tend to be straight as well, so it is very hard for me to find a mascara that enhances whatever I have in a more beautiful manner. I have tried many different expensive brands that you’d think would do the job, but NOPE! None of them worked out for me, it made my lashes very ugly and did not hold the curl after application. This mascara is the only one I have been using for about 4 years now, it makes my lashes seem longer, thicker and darker, I have no complaints. I give this product 5 stars.
  • This next product I use is the L’OREAL Paris Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Black. I can’t say that I am super attached to this product because I am not much of an eyeliner girl nor do I have any issues with them staying put on my waterline. Although, it is nicely black, smooth and does the job for a cheaper price as apposed to MAC, URBAN DECAY, CHANEL, etc. I give this product 4 stars.
  • The Soft Matte Lip Cream by NYX in Abu Dhabi is my all time nude lipstick. This is my second swear by product. I naturally hate nude lipsticks, personally I don’t like the way it looks on my face, makes my nose look weird, I know it is an odd thing to say but it is what it is. I think the reason why I like this specific nude is first the texture, it is so buttery and drys very well on the lips. It is not chunky, it’s thin and it leaves a pretty result. Second, the color itself is not deadly nude, some nudes are the color of a dead persons skin and it drives me insane. This color has a little bit of a peachy-ness to it and I think that is where it wins my heart. It is my go to nude lippy. I give this product a definite 5 stars.
  • Lastly, the MILANI Easybrow Automatic Pencil in Dark Brown. This product does the job for everyday looks. I am not a fan of the thickness of the pencil itself but it works if you do not push it onto the brow all at once. It has a buttery texture which is nice and the opposite side of its head, it has a tiny brow groomer which puts the color in place after application. Although keep in mind that application needs to be light since it does get very bold, very fast, unless you are into the bold brow look. Overall I give this product 4 stars.
Thanks for reading! See you in a bit,
